  1. I recognize poppies, of course, but is there a name for the white and lavender flowers surrounding the poppies. We see them everywhere, but have no name.

    1. Hi Bruce, I’m not sure. From what I can see, I think they are wild phlox, but I just emailed my kids (who live there) and asked for a correction or confirmation. They are both avid hikers and flower lovers, so I’ll bet they know. I’ll write again once they respond. Blessings~

    2. Hi again, Bruce! Here’s what my daughter says: “The ones you area noticing are wild radish. They come in varying shades of purple, pink and white.” Happy hiking! 🙂
