AtlantisMany people spend their day at an elaborate, world-class resort called Atlantis, DSC02538but Wolle and I are more the hiker, explorer types, Tangled vines on palm treeso we decided to visit Ardastra Gardens and Zoo instead. Bougainvillea and Palms (We took a cab ride: $15 for 2, but it saved us a 45-minute uphill walk.)Blue.and Yellow MacawJPGWe were just delighted with what we found, but there’s so much to tell about Flamingo Crossing. Ardastra ParkArdastra Park that it will need a separate post! Suffice it to say: It’s unique! Providence Island Coastal Scene It was a pleasant walk downhill and along the sugar-white sand beaches Junkanoo Beach, Bahamas to return to our cruise ship, and so we savored the warm breezes, Junkanoo Beach stopped to soak in the ambiance at Junkanoo Beach… Nassau Lighthouse and rue the fact that we failed to pack swim suits for our expedition! 😦 Drink of coconut milkThankfully, we remembered to bring enough cash for a drink of fresh coconut! The Norwegian SkyWe returned to the ship full of sunshine memories and intact wallets…a great combo!
